Are you looking for an experienced and empathetic editor who can help show your academic or professional writing in its best light? Contact me at amanda@arroweditservices.ca or arroweditservices@gmail.com to find out more. In your email, please include—
- Your full name and email address (please use your university or college email for an academic project)
- Type of project (e.g., book, thesis, article, report, learning materials). Feel free to include details.
- What kind of service you’re seeking: e.g., copyediting, structural editing, copywriting.*
- Total word count (not the page count) of your completed draft, including all its parts if applicable
- What type(s) of editing you’d like (see What I Offer)
- Your submission deadline. That’s essential so I can get back to you quickly about my availability! I make every effort to respond to emails by the next business day.
- For students, whether your writing fulfills a graduation or academic requirement (if yes, please see my note below about permission to edit)
*Copywriting is not available for all projects. See “What I Offer” for more.
Or if you prefer, fill in the short form below and submit.
Are you completing a graduating project, thesis, doctoral dissertation, or articles that count for graduation credit? If so, please read my article on ethical editing of theses and dissertations before you send an inquiry. This posting also explains why I need written permission from your graduate supervisor before I can begin editing your work.
If your deadline and my availability match up, I’ll invite you to send a complete draft of your manuscript so I can accurately assess the scope of editing and estimate the cost.
If I haven’t worked with your writing before, I’m also happy to offer a free sample edit (500–750 words) using parts of your manuscript. That way, you can see if you’re comfortable with my editing approach.
